Becoming a volunteer

Make sure you have read the Frequently Asked Questions and Volunteer Agreement which you will be required to sign before we can start looking for a placement for you.

Make sure too that you are aware of the relevant Volunteer's Contribution which you will be asked to raise as a TFG volunteer. Find details in About Finance.

Remember, because the process of finding you a placement can take anything from a couple of weeks to several months, we encourage you to send us your application as soon as you can, keep in good contact with us, and be patient!

Then you need to apply and be interviewed before you are accepted as a TFG volunteer. You will start your volunteering in either late August/early September or January of each year (although overseas opportunities usually begin in August/September).
