TFG volunteering - finances (September 2010 & January 2011) TFG is a non-profit making charity, and our volunteering programmes are funded through the contributions of volunteers and placements. Once a volunteer is confirmed in their placements, they are required to make the following contributions towards the costs of recruiting, training and supporting TFG volunteers (Volunteers coming through a partner organisations may have their own financial arrangements) | Volunteering in the UK (10 - 12 months) | Volunteer's contribution | | EVS volunteers | £0 (subject to approval) | | British volunteers | £1550 | | South Korean volunteers | £1550 | Western European volunteers

TFG volunteers receive… Full board and lodging for the length of the placement; pocket-money at an appropriate local subsistence level (e.g. £155 per month for volunteers serving in the UK from Sept 2010); volunteer training (conferences and more); field support (visits and more); final certificate acknowledging their period of volunteering.
TFG volunteers provide... Relevant Volunteer's Contribution (above); their own travel (flights, etc as required) to and from the country of service; insurance (e.g. travel, health, personal accident as required); cost of obtaining a visa (as required); time, energy and commitment to the placement! |
