Tell Me More About Becoming a TFG placement

Want to become a TFG placement?

Are you a project, church, community or centre which serves the needs of particular clients and/or the community around it? Do you run a social action project, minister in church-based youth/children's work, or manage a care home, community centre, special needs project or outdoor activities facility? Do you currently work with full-time/'gap year' volunteers, or are you exploring the possibility of adding them to your staff team in the future?

TFG...

  • Has placements located all over the UK
  • Works with a variety of faith groups/organisations
  • Expects placements to treat volunteers as staff members, not as 'cheap labour'
  • Placements oversee a volunteer's personal, professional and spiritual development

Check out these Frequently Asked Questions on becoming a TFG placement, and read the Placement Agreement to which you must commit before we can try to place volunteers with you.

Also, if you already work with volunteers in a 'gap year' context or are planning to receive them, why not consider linking them in to TFG's programmes as a 'private' volunteer? They will meet other young adults from all over the world going through similar situations; they'll be able to share ideas and build a larger support network; they'll receive training and support from a larger organisation, but will remain 'your' volunteer at all times. Click here to find out more!
